LysR family of transcription factors represents the most abundant family of regulators in bacteria [19047729]. The LysR family regulators control diverse biological pathways such as central metabolism, cell division, quorum sensing, virulence, motility, nitrogen fixation, oxidative stress responses, toxin production, attachment and secretion. End-product or an intermediate of LysR-regulated pathway usually serves as a co-inducer thus providing feedback control loop.
