Transcription factor PdxR from the GntR protein family activates pyridoxal 5'-phosphate biosynthesis genes in wide range of bacteria. Originally PdxR was discovered in Corynebacterium glutamicum [PMID 12948641, 20847010]. Comparative genomics analysis identified PdxR orthologs in both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. Pyridoxal 5'-phosphate is served as effector molecule for PdxR. Main target of PdxR is pyridoxal 5'-phosphate synthase.'), (1,304,'BioQ','Collection: BioQ','Transcription factor BioQ from the TetR protein family repress biotin biosynthesis and transport genes [22178235]. BioQ was found in Corynebacteriaceae and have a palindromic DNA-binding motif.
