Collection of regulogs for HrcA transcription factor

HrcA belongs to the HrcA family and acts as a repressor of heat shock response genes. The activity of HrcA is regulated by the chaperonine GroE that is sequestered by denatured proteins upon heat shock. HrcA regulation was experimentally analyzed in different species from the Proteobacteria, Firmicutes, Actinobacteria and Chlamydia phyla. We used a comparative genomics approach to reconstruct transcriptional regulons controlled by HrcA orthologs in multiple lineages of Bacteria.
