Transcription factor MntR from the DtxR protein family widely distributed across Arachaea and Bacteria kingdoms. MntR regulates various transport systems for manganese homeostasis in responce of Mn(II) concentration. MntR was discovered in Bacillus subtilis [PMID 10760146] and now studied in many organisms including E.coli [PMID 21908668], Corynebacterium glutamicum [PMID 25790484] and Mycobacterium tuberculosis [PMID 26337157].
