Transcription factor RbkR was predicted to control riboflavin biosynthesis and uptake genes in diverse lineages of Archaea. It has an N-terminal winged helix-turn-helix DNA binding domain and C-terminal domain that is functional CTP-depending riboflavin kinase. Thus, RBkR presumably binds to DNA and control its target genes in response to FMN and also catalize the CTP-dependent phosphorylation of riboflavin to FMN.
