SdaR family of transcription factors comprises regulators of sugar diacid (galactarate, glucarate) and glycerate utilization genes in Gammaproteobacteria [10762278]. Expression of the SdaR-regulated genes/operons depends on intracellular concentration of D-glycerate. SdaR-family proteins (COG3835) contain an N-terminal sugar diacid recognition domain (PF05651) and a C-terminal HTH DNA-binding motif [10762278].
