Transcription factor AmtR from the TetR protein family regulates nitrogen metabolism genes in Corynobacteria spp. AmtR represses genes encoding enzymes and transporters for ammonium, urea and creatinine assimilation. AmtR binding ability controlled by interaction with adenylylated signal transduction protein GlnK [16194241].
