NadQ is a novel regulator of NAD metabolism that was predicted by comparative genomic techniques. The reconstructed NadQ regulons includes genes involved in the NAD biosynthesis and salvage pathways in different lineages of Proteobacteria (mostly alpha- and beta-subdivisions).
