GlnL transcription factor is a response regulator of the GlnL-GlnK two-component system controlling glutamine uptake and utilization in B. subtilis [15995196]. In response to the glutamine concentration, the sensor kinase GlnK transfers the phosphoryl group to the GlnL response regulator, thus activating it. GlnL-family response regulators are composed of an N-terminal receiver domain (PF00072) and a characteristic C-terminal HTH DNA binding domain (PF08664).
