General statistics
Genomes 57
TF regulogs 6
TF regulons 41
TF binding sites 323

FruR transcription factor belongs to the LacI family and can act both as repressor and activator. The FruR regulon was experimentally analyzed in Escherichia coli, where it was also named as Cra (Catabolite repressor-activator). FruR binds to its palindromic operator in the absence of effectors, fructose 1-phosphate or fructose 1,6-phosphate. The FruR regulon in Enterobacteria includes genes from the central carbohydrate metabolism including glycolysis, gluconeogenesis, pentose phosphate pathway, glyoxylate cycle, Entner-Doudoroff pathway, TCA cycle, and phosphotransferase sugar transport systems. more
